Minor Boys Division Rules
1. Ages are spring 2014 little league 8, 9, and 10 year olds.
2. Home Team is responsible for lining the fields before the game. Away team is responsible for raking the field after every game. All teams are responsible for cleaning out the dugout
3. A new inning can not start after 1:45 minutes.
4. All players must play 3 innings of a six inning game.
5. All players will be placed in the batting order. If the teams have a different number of batters, the higher number is used to determine the end of the lineup for an inning.
6. The 10 run rule applies after 4 innings. Home team does not need to bat in bottom of 4th.
7. Free defensive substitutions.
8. No on-deck batter is permitted. Donuts are also not allowed.
9. Pitchers can only pitch 2 innings a game; 10 year olds may only pitch 3 innings of a 6 inning game. Pitchers will be removed if they hit 2 batters in the same inning.
10. A courtesy runner, for the catcher of record only, is permitted with 2 outs. The runner must be the last recorded out.
11. Bunting is permitted. NO SLASH BUNTING - If the hitter squares to bunt, he is not allowed to pull back and take a full swing.
12. Stealing of third base is permitted. Stealing of second base will be allowed starting Friday, September 27th.
13. No Leading.
14. No delayed stealing.
15. An inning is complete after a team bats its entire lineup….also see rule 5.
16. Play shall be dead when the pitcher is in possession of the ball on the pitcher’s mound and the runners are not attempting to advance. If the runner stops they must go back to the base. NO TAUNTING.
17. The will be no stealing of home plate. You may not advance to home on an over throw.
18. Curve balls are not permitted. The pitcher will get one warning, and then will be removed from the mound by the umpire after the second offense.
19. Only Little League approved composite barreled bats are allowed.
20. If a player or coach is ejected from a game they will serve an automatic game suspension – the teams next scheduled game. LC will review all ejections and will determine if additional punishment is necessary.
